Owner – President
Josh is the owner of A&M Heating and Air. He has spent more than thirteen years working for the founder, coming up the ranks, doing any task or wearing any hat that he could find. From delivery to install, and service to operations manager, Josh has been a part of every aspect. Josh has always worked hard to provide his customers with the quickest, most affordable, and best customer service possible. He also strives to create an awesome workplace and culture for his employees, which in return provide our customers a team that they enjoy working with and can count on. Josh has always had a passion for construction trades and real estate, which gives him outside-the-box perspectives and vision to help customers create solutions for short and long-term issues. He has also been a volunteer at multiple fire departments in Wake County, where he has served for more than fifteen years. Josh is a family man, and works hard to provide for his wife (who was his high school sweetheart) and two little girls. He also enjoys time out on the boat, offshore fishing at the coast, and playing on the sandbar with his family
Warehouse Manager
Dean, once a part-time delivery man, now serves as our warehouse manager. He is the glue to our day-to-day operations, as he makes sure that our service guys have the parts and supplies that they need, as well as takes care of our ordering. He also makes sure that all installations go off without a hitch by using his efficient work ethic and attention to detail, which he developed from his 30-year career at the Raleigh Fire Department, where he retired as captain before he came to work here. Dean is a jack of all trades and is quite the small engine mechanic and fine carpentry builder. He enjoys spending time with his family and spending time at the coast out on his boat.
Office Admin – Dispatch
Shauna has been with A&M Heating and Air for a little over a year. She joined A&M as Office Administrator and Dispatcher after six years of retail management. Shauna has been excited to learn about the HVAC industry, which was all new to her when she joined A&M. She enjoys taking care of others, therefore is proud to be part of a team so dedicated to quick, fair, and excellent customer service. When she is not at work, Shauna loves spending time with her children, running obstacle course races (she’s completed seven Spartan Races!), and hiking in the North Carolina mountains.
Founder
Our founder, Garner native Michael Walker, retired in early 2023 after building A&M Heating and Air from the ground up in 1997. After 26 years in the business, and even longer in the trade, he was happy to pass the torch to his right-hand man, Josh, as he knew that he would carry on the legacy that he started, by taking great care of his customers and providing the same level of quality and service. Michael still comes to the office periodically to help out when things get busy but spends most of his time enjoying travels with his wife and relaxing at the beach.

Unfortunately, a free estimate does not cover a diagnostic call needed to determine what might be wrong with your system, but if you already know what’s wrong with your system or if it’s older and unreliable and the time has come to change it out we would be happy to come to give you a free price on your equipment replacement.
R22 refrigerant is considered the old type and is obsolete, manufacturers stopped producing this type on Jan 1st, 2020 and what’s left is very pricey. The new type is called 410-A which is better for the environment and more friendly on the wallet.
